Almost to the water

Well this is the first post of me trying to start working on a new blog. I've already tried once before, but that was mainly focused on ski patrol so I would have to work on it during the school year. Blah.

So this is hopefully going to be about kayaking especially creeking, but it might become infested with other thoughts of mine.

So I'm currently a student at Colorado College (guess where that's at), and I've just got down one side of a C to C roll in the pool here. At least I can do it in multiple boats, so it's not luck of the draw. I've been on the water all my life, so I know my way around boats. You could say that I'm an advanced generalist. I can get in any boat and go somewhere, but I might not be the best at making it tick. Though I can teach people about boats really well. I've known that since I was about 12 and all the instructors at sailing had me teaching the other kids and they would go get drunk or race. And then I worked at a summer camp and actually got paid there, and taught lots of kids about sit on top kayaks and canoes on a lake. Kinda boring really, but that's pretty much all I had to work with. That reminds me, I have to get my 'flagpole' back from them. It's my dads old ultra large windsurfer mast that I appropriated to teach the campers a thing or two about the wind. They got rid of the sailboats after all.

Ok, I'm going to go study some geology so I can pass my test tomorrow and then head back to Maine after two dreaming sessions which will likely involve H2O in one or two forms. I'm a skier after all too.
