It's Currently Foggy
But I got out to paddle some this morning and got a pic for Mustache King
Not everything out of the small camera is artsy.

Before making to the river myself
Before I was able to get on the river myself I managed to get down to the Salida 3P. I was initially planning on completing myself, but I was distracted by the lovely act of someone stealing my bike. Which makes the second park of the competition pretty hard. So I was out of it because of having no bike and boat. It was really fun to take photos though.
Playing in the lake waiting for the racers to show up
First to arrive
Energy foods
One of the crazy fast local kids came in the top five or something stupid
A familiar face that I'm still wondering who taught her to cary skis
Bike to Kayak
Air cooling
Fancy fast boat
Tiny boat
Note to self: Must be floating to call it a flotilla
I have 300 mm of zoom yet I still think I need a bigger lens
Energy drink first this time
I believe that it was blown up before the race, otherwise that would have sucked
And he also has the shortest boat in the race
The boaters couldn't dress up as much
The Finish
Busting through the play park
Running away from the water
He's back
Local wildlife likes to play in the water
Young spectators
Where did the boat go
Waterworks
It was fun even just hanging around the edges.

Round Two
Let's try this again. Hopefully it will be easier this time now that I have actually started to paddle whitewater.
I've gone to quite a few pool sessions and have a relatively solid onside roll in whatever boat I can fit into. I usually manage to get my roll on my second try. We managed to get a mailing list running for kayaking so we weren't piggybacked on of the Outing Shmuck list.
Thanks to an influence of some good freshman kayakers I got to get out of the pool and down to the whitewater park in Pueblo. The first time I was in the largest playboat that the school has which was a little too small. Too small as in when I missed my roll coming off of the last wave train and my left foot got stuck in the boat. So I switched to a creeker for the next two runs and took pictures. Hooray for dry bags!
David throwing a loop
Claire busting into the rapid
David making a face
Eliza remembering that she likes to breathe air
Claire draining
Will busting out his ninja style
Claire catching an edge
David reminding us how it's done
Will breathing the wrong medium
Tom throwing some water into the air
And showing the other side of his boat
I'm not sure how that works
And that was just day two in Pueblo, more to come.

Still looking for a job
Neal has a good bonus for me if I decide to work at camp, but I still want something different/ I've applied to one of the gas docks, another dock job and the job that I was talking about earlier. It would require a bit of a commute by boat, and it likely to be a bit to far to paddle each day, but it is still much more efficient to go by boat than by car.

Making Money
I think I found a really cool job that is on the water and isn't working at the gas dock or at camp. And I could still mow for Neal in the evening if I wanted to.
